About the Role:

As a UX / UI Architect , you will shape the user experience vision for Stolt-Nielsens digital products and platforms. You will play a pivotal role in defining design standards, ensuring consistency across our portfolio, and mentoring designers and developers in building human-centered solutions.

Youll collaborate closely with product owners, designers, front-end engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex problems into elegant, intuitive user experiences. You will own the end-to-end design architecture from research and user journey mapping to component design, design systems, and usability validation.

Your work will help establish a scalable, consistent design language across our solutions, supported by tools like Figma and Storybook, following an atomic design approach.

What Youll Do:

• Lead the UX strategy and design architecture across multiple digital products.
• Conduct and guide user research, persona development, and journey mapping to deeply understand user needs.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that balance aesthetics, usability, and business goals.
• Establish and maintain a component library and design system (Figma + Storybook).
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure smooth handoff and fidelity between design and implementation.
• Define UX metrics and success criteria using A/B testing and user analytics tools.
• Provide mentorship to UX/UI Designers and act as the key contact for design quality and standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to evolve design governance, guidelines, and accessibility principles.

What Youll Bring:

• Deep experience with user-centered design methodologies and design systems.
• Ability to lead end-to-end UX processes from discovery to validation.
• Experience in Figma, Storybook, and related design collaboration tools.
• Understanding of front-end development constraints and how design interacts with React or similar frameworks.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience leveraging user analytics and A/B testing.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to balance business requirements, technical constraints, and user needs.

Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of professional experience in UX / Product Design, with at least 2 years in a lead or architectural role.
• Proven portfolio demonstrating strategic and system-level design work.
• Strong proficiency in Figma and knowledge of modern component-based design approaches.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Passion for design consistency, usability, and continuous improvement.
